The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® presented by Harris kicks off the holiday season on Saturday, November 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. with a day full of musical performances on the Harris Stage featuring nationally-known musical performances from 101.9fm THE MIX and Radio Disney and a day full of family friendly activities in Lights Festival Lane. The day culminates with a magical lighting procession down North Michigan Avenue led by Mickey Mouse and his friends from Walt Disney World® Resorts in Florida to illuminate one million lights on 200 trees. Family activities, charitable events and exclusive promotions can be found in participating Magnificent Mile hotels, retail shops, restaurants and attractions during the event and throughout the holiday season.

The Chicago Tribune Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® presented by Harris Special Section reaches over 1.3 million readers, making this event one of the most anticipated holiday events of the year.
More than 800 volunteers dedicate their time to assist with this event.
The impact of this event is impressive – hotels, restaurants and parking garages report 100% occupancy and many retailers report higher sales than the day after Thanksgiving.
This will be the third year in a row that The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® presented by Harris will be broadcast nationally on the ABC network.
