The Magnificent Mile Lights Festival® presented by BMO Harris Bank kicks off the holiday season annually the Saturday before Thanksgiving, starting at 11am with a day full of musical performances on the Harris Stage featuring nationally-known musical performances from 101.9fm THE MIX and Radio Disney and a day full of family friendly activities in Lights Festival Lane. The day culminates with a magical lighting procession down North Michigan Avenue led by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse and their friends from Walt Disney World® Resorts in Florida to illuminate one million lights on 200 trees. Family activities, charitable events and exclusive promotions can be found in participating Magnificent Mile hotels, retail shops, restaurants and attractions during the event and throughout the holiday season.

More than 600 volunteers dedicate their time to assist with this event.
The impact of this event is impressive – hotels, restaurants and parking garages report 100% occupancy and many retailers report higher sales than the day after Thanksgiving.
