Powell/Kleinschmidt honored at Chicago Leader's Breakfast
The Powell/Kleinschmidt team is proud to announce that our Founding Principals, Donald D. Powell and Robert D. Kleinschmidt, are being honored by The International Interior Design Association (IIDA) at this year's Chicago Leader's Breakfast. The award recognizes outstanding contributions to the profession of interior design. Honorees demonstrate a history of responsible and ethical behavior to colleagues, clients, and the industry at large.
The breakfast is Wednesday, October 3, 7:30 - 10:00 a.m. at The University Club.

A Birth at the Shedd Aquarium
Shedd Aquarium's beluga whale Mauyak, (MI-yak) gave birth to a calf at 2:42 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2007.
After their first few hours together, both mother and calf appear to be
doing well and will remain under 24-hour observation by Shedd's animal
care staff for several months. Shedd experts estimate the calf is 5 ½
feet long, weighing more than 100 pounds. There has been no
determination of the gender of the calf.
